Your Amenity or Residents' Association can join ANTAS!

ANTAS is an association of local civic societies working to ensure high standards of planning and architecture in our towns and villages, and the care and preservation of our countryside.  We have a current membership of 21 societies mainly in Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.ANTAS member Societies are taking a keen interest in the Civic Voice organisation,  launched on 17 April, which is taking the place of the former Civic Trust.

We hold two meetings a year. These are attended by representatives from our member societies and provide an opportunity for vigorous, lively and informative discussion on matters of common interest. A wide range of guest speakers on planning and related subjects has also proved popular with members.

Apart from these meetings, officers of ANTAS receive comments from the Association's member societies about Government consultation papers such as revisions of PPSs (Planning Policy Statements) and coordinate ANTAS responses as appropriate.  We support our member societies in their dealings with local planning authorities and provide help and advice wherever possible.
